About America鈥檚 Wild Read

America鈥檚 Wild Read is the bet365下载ios Library鈥檚 virtual, quarterly book club designed to inspire a deeper connection with nature through conservation literature. Each quarter, we feature a new book鈥攚hether contemporary, classic, or traditional鈥攖hat explores themes of conservation, species challenges, or how we can be better stewards of the natural world.

Past selections have included Braiding Sweetgrass, An Immense World, and Tenacious Beasts.

Our discussions are open to everyone鈥攔eaders, conservationists, nature enthusiasts, bet365下载ios employees, and the public. Even if you haven鈥檛 finished (or started!) the book, we invite you to join these informal conversations to reflect on the text, explore discussion questions, and connect with fellow readers.

How to Get Involved 

Expand your knowledge of conservation by reading along with America鈥檚 Wild Read! We all share a responsibility to protect nature鈥攐ur lands, waters, plants, and wildlife鈥攁nd these book selections offer valuable insights into conservation efforts. Stay up to date on Wild Read news, including book announcements, discussion questions, and event details.

Each quarter, we host a virtual book discussion via Zoom, open to both bet365下载ios employees and the public. You don鈥檛 need to have read the book to participate鈥攅veryone is welcome! These informal conversations provide a space to reflect on the reading, explore discussion topics, and connect with others who share an interest in conservation literature.

We've explored the remarkable comeback of an American icon in Return of the Bison by Roger Di Silvestro, and we鈥檝e marveled at the extraordinary sensory experiences of animals in An Immense World by Ed Yong鈥攃omplete with a discussion with the author himself.
