Izzy was one of the first to use improv theater concepts as tools for personal and organizational learning. He is the author of Playing Along: Group Learning Activities Borrowed From Improvisation Theater, a co-author of Humor Me: America’s Funniest Humorists on the Power of Laughter, and a contributor of a chapter on improvisation as a facilitation tool in the IAF Group Facilitators’ Handbook. Recognized by his peers, he has earned a Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) designation from the National Speakers Association. Less than 15% of NSA’s 4,000 members are CSPs. Roz has a BS in Medical Technology and an MS in Community Health Education. She speaks around the country to cancer groups, health care organizations, and support staff from community service associations to help them reduce the negative effects of stress. She is adjunct faculty at Towson University Towson, Maryland for the past 14 years, and the students haven’t stopped laughing and learning yet! Over the last ten years, Roz has found ways to share her knowledge and experience, providing healing pathways to those faced with cancer and other life challenges, to live a life of joy, connecting mind, body, and spirit through a combination of theater arts and educational techniques. She is the author of The Joy of Living…The Journal that Inspires You to Live Life Laughing (2007) and Live Life Laughing(2000) and co-author of Whose Classroom Is It Anyway?
