About this Collection

The Upper Deschutes Conservation Fund (Conservation Fund) is one of the conservation commitments within the Deschutes Basin Habitat Conservation Plan (Deschutes HCP). The Permittees of the Deschutes HCP have committed to contributing $150,000 annually to the Conservation Fund (adjusted each year for inflation) for the term of the HCP (30 years from finalization on 12/31/2020). The objective of the Conservation Fund is to improve conditions for Oregon spotted frogs in the Upper Deschutes River Basin. To achieve this, the fund is used to support a wide variety of activities including but not limited to habitat restoration and enhancement (including rivers, streams, wetlands, and other aquatic habitats), invasive plant control, invasive predator control, etc. The fund is managed by the Oregon Community Foundation, with funding recommendations provided by technical and advisory committees. This collection contains documents related to management and implementation of the Conservation Fund.
