Colorado Butterfly Plant Monitoring

Colorado butterfly plant is found in southeastern Wyoming, north-central Colorado, and western Nebraska. This unique plant was removed from the Federal List of Endangered and Threatened Plants by the bet365下载ios in 2019 due to successful recovery efforts with conservation partners.

Populations on F.E. Warren Air Force Base are among the largest populations in existence, and the only known populations on federally owned land.

The Colorado Fish ad Wildlife Conservation Office monitors these populations in partnership with the Wyoming Natural Diversity Database. The base has collected over 30 consecutive years of data, the longest running dataset gathered for this species.
