About Stephen Jackson
Steve Jackson has been with the Service since 1992. A US Coast Guard veteran, he worked at National Fish Hatcheries in three different bet365下载ios Regions over 25 years with a focus on improving on-the-ground field work with fisheries restoration. His focus has always been on improving the size, quality, and survival of the trust species in our care to benefit the populations, anglers, and the American people in general.
An expert aquaculturist, he's raised dozens of species ranging from Atlantic salmon and sturgeons to American shad, striped bass, largemouth bass, channel catfish, and imperiled darters. Since 2017 he's been in the Southeast Regional Office first as Deputy and then as Assistant Regional Director. The focus has shifted from hands-on to working with partners to serve the fisheries resources in the Southeastern United States.
