2025 Joint 31st Aquatic Drug Approval Coordination Workshop, 64th Western Fish Disease Workshop, and Annual AFS Fish Health Section Meeting

It鈥檚 time to start thinking about the 31st Annual Aquaculture Drug Approval Coordination Workshop! Next year鈥檚 workshop will be combined with the Western Fish Disease Workshop and the American Fisheries Society Fish Health Section Annual meeting, held in-person in Bozeman, MT from June 23rd-27th, 2025. The Annual Aquaculture Drug Approval Coordination Workshop will take place on June 24, 2025. Please note that registration for each workshop is separate. Registration is now available via .

We will be looking for individuals interested in giving a presentation on the following (or related) topics: aquaculture drugs research (antimicrobials, parasiticides, anesthetics, spawning aids, and marking agents), indexing, disease models, and/or new, up-and-coming drugs. If you鈥檙e interested in presenting, please contact Shane Ramee.

Our Services

Our national network of fish hatcheries, fish technology centers, fish health centers, and the Aquatic Animal Drug Approval Partnership program use applied science and technology to steer our conservation practices.

Fish Technology Centers assist national fish hatcheries by improving conservation techniques and methods. Scientists conduct nutrition studies and develop fish diets.

Practitioners at Fish Health Centers monitor the health of fish and amphibians in captivity and in the wild, and prescribe remedies as needed.

Researchers at the Aquatic Animal Drug Approval Partnership conduct intensive pivotal studies to meet the rigors of useful, new pharmaceuticals for fish.

The National Wild Fish Health Survey provides information on the presence or absence of aquatic animal pathogens in wild fish populations to tribes, state and federal fisheries managers, the aquaculture industry, conservation groups, researchers, and the public.
