Established in 1989, Laguna Cartagena National Wildlife Refuge is one of the most important freshwater habitats for migrating and resident aquatic birds in Puerto Rico.

Visit Us

The Service鈥檚 visitor center is located at the Cabo Rojo National Wildlife Refuge. Adjacent to the visitor center there are hiking trails, and nearby are the Cabo Rojo Salt Flats which houses a small visitor center and trails for biking and hiking.

Visite el Centro de Visitantes del Servicio situado en el Refugio Nacional de Vida Silvestre de Cabo Rojo. Tenemos veredas para caminar adyacente al Centro. No muy lejos de esta 谩rea, tenemos Las Salinas de Cabo Rojo donde encontrar谩s veredas para caminar y pasear en bicicleta.
