Volunteering
Join us for a volunteer workday at San Pablo Bay National Wildlife Refuge! Whether you're passionate about wildlife conservation, habitat restoration, or simply love spending time outdoors, this is a perfect opportunity to lend a hand. Volunteers will engage in various activities such as removing invasive plants, planting native species, trash cleanup, and trail maintenance. All tools and materials will be provided, and no prior experience is necessary. Come enjoy the fresh air, meet individuals with shared interests, and contribute to the preservation of our local ecosystems.
Workdays occur on the first Thursday of each month, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Community members are invited to come together and make a difference in this beautiful open space.
Some things to keep in mind:
- Volunteers will meet with a staff representative in the Sears Point Trail parking lot (location on ).
- Volunteers will need to sign a Volunteer Service Agreement upon arrival. This is a requirement before any work can begin!
- Dress appropriately for the weather conditions. It is highly recommended volunteers check the weather forecast and dress appropriately. If there is inclement weather (rain, 90掳F+, or major weather event) the workday will be cancelled.
- Volunteers are strongly encouraged to bring their own water, lunch/snacks, hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, and mosquito/tick repellant.
- Workday activities vary but are physical in nature. Be sure to take breaks as needed!
