Overview
The white wartyback is a species of medium to large rivers. It was once more widespread in rivers of the Ohio, Cumberland and Tennessee drainages. However, current records exist only from the lower Tennessee River Basin downstream of Wilson and Pickwick dams. It has a thick, solid shell with a series of bumps or knobs that extend diagonally across the shell.
